Will the landline number ring my mobile/landline as a normal call?
Yes, your number will ring as normal when someone calls the virtual landline number.
Can I have a personalised message played when people call my number?
Yes, this can either be recorded by yourself free of charge through or SwitchboardFREE app, or we can record for you at a charge of £50.00 + VAT for the first 100 words then 27p per word after.
Will it cost me more if someone calls me from a mobile number?
No, you will be not charged any more for receiving calls from a mobile.
Am I able to tell the difference between a normal call and a call from the landline?
Yes, you can setup a ‘whisper’. This will play a message when you answer the call which will l tell you “This is a business call press the * key to connect the call”, or when your phone rings you can set the number displayed on your mobile to be your new landline number.
If I go over my minutes, how much will this cost?
If you divert to mobile this will cost 6p per minute, if you divert to landline this will cost 3p per minute.
Will the person ringing my number know they are being transferred to a mobile?
No, as long as your own mobile voicemail does not connect too early and play (which we can accommodate for) then your customer will not know they have been diverted.
